Zipp 101 alloy clincher wheelset is fully toroidal for aerodynamics. The new wider rim platform for Zipp boasts a 24.5mm width compared to the standard 19mm. Thus yielding a straighter tire sidewall and greater tire contact surface area patch, allowing for improved cornering and lower air pressures. The 101 shares the same rim cross-section as the Zipp 202 carbon tubular rim.
18 Sapim spokes front, 20 rear, with 30mm deep alloy rim, this wheelset is light, aero and stiff all at the same time.
The 101 has the same spokes and high end hubs as zipp carbon wheels, the 88/188 hubset is real state of the art and unparraleled in the industry.
