The 105 groupset makes 'pro-level' technology more accessible to part time racers and fitness enthusiasts.
From the shifters down to the rear derailleur, this groupset borrows from its big brother Dura-Ace. The shifters feature the new internal routing for the cable outers and the complete weight has come down to 2481g (claimed).
Shifter Features:
Shift cables are routed under the bar tape: re-development and positioning of the internal mechanism provides a faster, lighter and smoother shift.
Ergonomic shift arc follows natural hand movement with inward shift stroke distance reduced for rapid and precise gear changes.
Brake lever pivots have been positioned to increase power and improve ergonomics when riding on the hoods.
Tunable reach adjusters enable custom fitments for all hands.
Comes complete with silicon greased cables to further reduce shift friction and increase service life.
Chainset Features:
Innovative HollowTech forged and anodised aluminium crank arms utilise a hollow design that minimises flex and keeps the weight low.
The chainring teeth have been developed to work in conjunction with the CN-5701 chains (included) for increased contact to provide greater efficiency and improved power transfer.
Lightweight anodised SG-X aluminium chainrings for smooth and precise shifting.
