Norm's BMC Promachine with the new Rolf Ares 4 Carbon Clinchers.
Here is a picture of my bike with the new wheelset. I was able to get out for a few hours this weekend and am very pleased with the performance. The wheels are stiff, snappy and fast, but they also dampened the chatter well. Both mornings it had rained the night before, so it was a bit wet and a good test for the brakes. Braking system was impressive. Even with the wet weather, the braking was strong and sure. All good.

For bigger riders who have had trouble finding bikes 'off the rack,' having GC help with my custom build was just the ticket--XL frameset, geometry, 180mm crankset... I'm a happy camper. I got just what I wanted--a bombproof, high-mileage, go-anywhere endurance bike suitable for a 6'5", 200 lb rider, nothing less, with no extra unnecessary cheap stuff that I'd have to replace on my own. No easy task! Having GC build the HED Belgian wheelset on the DT240 hubs was a major extra bonus at a very reasonable cost. I can't imagine any other shop would have been able to do this with confidence.... Many thanks to Clive and all at GC for the excellent service, value, and attention to detail!"
