Campagnolo Athena 2010 11sp Alloy Groupset 
Campagnolo Athena is back and it’s 11 speed. In true Campagnolo tradition the technologies from the flagship group are quickly passed down and become available in every price range.
Group Set includes 8 Pieces.
.Crank and Bottom Bracket
.Ergo shifters and cables
.Front and rear dérailleur
.Chorus chain and cassette
Athena slots in beneath 11 speed Chorus and above 10 speed Centaur it is the least expensive 11 speed option from Campagnolo.
Athena 11 speed ergo levers have a carbon look with alloy skeleton while the remainder of the group is mostly aluminum. The materials used are in many ways similar to a 2001 record group before Campagnolo got heavily into using carbon.
The group promises to perform at the same level as Chorus with only a weight penalty. For some I am sure the polished alloy is a welcome departure for the carbon or nothing attitude of the last few years.

Crank will be available in carbon or alloy. Save 113 grams but spend about $ 175 and blow the shiny silver look.
Cassette and Chain are Chorus 11 speed. Campagnolo have not made Athena 11 speed Cassette and Chain
Bottom Bracket is Record UT. Athena specific bottom bracket was not made.
Ergo levers are the new shape: Which BTW is the best ergo shape ever, not only for campy but Shimano and SRAM as well. It’s such an improvement on the previous shape I feel it’s made a difference to my riding experience.
