Argon 18 E 116 2013 Frameset
Argon 18 triathlon bikes are known for their stability and accurate tracking through turns. Embodying all the advantages of Argon 18ís Optimal Balance principle, the new E-116 is no exception to the rule. Built in the same mold, it benefits from the innovative aerodynamics research methodology used in developing the E-118.
The E-116 is an uncompromising racing frameset, the end result of an extensive development process that has called on cutting-edge science and technologies as well as sound cycling knowledge. An outstanding example of our prized Optimal Balance, the E-116 can help you optimize your performance too.
6105 High Modulus Carbon Fiber layup
3D Headtube adds up to 5% more rigidity making it possible to stay in your aero bars while cornering.
AFS geometry built into the E-116 guarantees tremendously accurate steering and extremely stable handling.
HDS frame layup features lighter, smaller tubes in the upper parts of the frame to absorb road buzz and increase comfort, while the lower areas are built stout and strong, to ensure complete power transfer to the rear wheel.
E116 shares the same mold as the E118 which has been thru rigerous Computerized Fluid Dynamics testing as well as wind tunnel testing.
The E-116 features a BB86 bottom bracket shell.
All cables and wiring are internally routed for enhanced aerodynamics.
Like the E-118, the E-116 is a totally integrated design.
The new E-116 one-piece carbon fork
The new ASP-7000 reversible seat post has been updated with a lighter, simpler & low-profile seat clamp design-exclusive to Argon 18.
TRP's Advanced Braking Systems -a very powerful, V-brake design, fitted flush within the frame and fork shapes, out of the wind. These brakes create negligeable drag and are an example of the painstaking attention to aerodynamics in the E-116's development.
